Guelly turns 3!!

On to the presents! Miguel is one of those kids that opens a present and then has to play with it before opening up another one.

Thanksgiving 2008

Thanksgiving wouldn't be complete without a lot of rough and tumble jump on their backs action for Ethan and Miguel. Here they try to team up on Kevin.
Uncle Mark plays horse here.
Hannah prefers the safety and calmness of the tractor.
Miguel and Ethan eating peanuts from the shell on the couch.
Alex tries to get a good look at whatever Aunt Mindy is looking at on the computer.

JC Draw

My bathtub from Thursday until Friday night. Those are the boneless ribeyes thawing out and waiting to be sliced.
The steaks have to been cut. Here are the guys on Friday night working to get them sliced just right.
It was cold and rainy this year, but that didn't stop the steak grillers. They have a barn dooor held up by posts and a skid loader over their heads to try to keep dry.
The food lines before the people come through. We serve a boneless ribeye steak, corn, green beans, baked potatoes, red beet eggs, dinner salad, olives, pickles, carrots, radishes, celery and assorted pies and a chocolate fountain with a wide variety of items there.
The chocolate fountain and pie table... later we add nachos, sloppy joes, peanuts and popcorn! Nobody leaves a JC party hungry.
Part of the crowd moving through the food line after they have received their cooked to order steak. The JC draw was a success again. We had 4 gallons of Apple Pie Drink and it was long gone before the end of the draw - Bennette had more than her fair share :) Next year we may try a new recipe from Mark.... college kids do learn something!

BIG happenings at 15313 Motter Road...

Guelly and Alex say that there was BIG BIG happenings around their place today...
something came that they have been waiting for, something really important and, well, BIG
OUR HOUSE IS HERE!!!!!
The front of the house. Those are some kind of roof jacks you see sticking up.
The work crew trying to get the roof right.
A view from the back. Notice that the back half of the house is not yet set on the basement.
A view from the end. The roof just folds down for transport and then they stand it back up to hook it together.
Working on the roof - a view from the road.
