Happy Birthday Mindy!

January 24th was Mindy's birthday. Don't tell anybody, but she turned 29 this year :) Had a party at her house with both sides of the family. The kids were suitably impressed with her age - but don't think they realized that except for Nacho, she was the youngest adult there! We also didn't put all the candles on the cake - we didn't want to have the Holgate Fire Department show up to put it out!

Phase Five Compete!!! We are done with floors!!

The new carpet is in!

Notice the new tile in front of the fireplace. Hopefully any hot coals land there and not on the carpet.

Phase Five is in the works. New carpet for the back room (family room, living room, whatever you want to call it), is coming on Thursday. Wednesday night is designated move stuff out of the room and tear up the carpet and pad. I'm working on getting the smaller stuff we won't be using moved today, since it is MLK Day and we don't have school.

Phase Four Complete!!

All of the flooring is down!!! Yea!!! Now the trim needs to go up, the step from the backroom to the rest of the house needs to be done, etc. But the major work is done!

This is still Phase Four. I will post pictures of Phase Three (the dining room) after I get done moving Phase Four stuff back where it belongs.... Remember, this is the Tech Support room, so obviously, Tech Support hasn't gotten anything done lately!!

Phase Two and Three Complete

Here is the completed Phase Two. Pictures of completed Phase Three will have to wait since Phase Four necessitated moving everything involved in Phase Four onto Phase Three. In other words, Phase Three is pretty much covered up and a mess right now, so you are just going to have to wait for pictures!!

Miguel and Ethan wanted to help, so here they are are trying to pull the carpet out in Phase Four.
