Zoo, and Alex and Hannah

 Went to the Toledo Zoo with Mindy and the kids to see the brand new baby elephant!   It was a lot bigger than Hannah thought it was going to be.

 Nice looking little fella.

 A bear decided to lie down right up against the glass of his cage.   Carter thought it was great.   He showed us the bear's eyes, nose, etc.    Glad that glass was there - I wouldn't want to be that close to a bear without it!

Alex and Hannah are spending the night.   They needed to get some of the dirt off so they took a quick bath in the sink!

 Miguel wanted to play soccer, so he played in a starting league in Bryan.   With all the rain, they only got 3 games in.

 Alex was more worried about the finer things in life - like what snacks did you bring today Mom?

 5 year olds playing soccer can only be described as 'mass chaos'.   Thank goodness each team only played 3 kids at a time.

 Carterman got his clothes wet, so Grandpa put one of his t-shirts on him.   He then promptly went outside and played in a mud puddle.

 6 inches of rain makes a lot of water.   Our septic tank empties into this ditch.   We couldn't flush the toilet from Wednesday night until Friday when we got home from school.
