Toilet Paper Fairies

The Toilet Paper Fairies were busy down at FV last night. The trees in the front yard are covered in TP as well as some of the shrubs. My guess would be that some of the graduating seniors had a hand in this.
They got the trees by the baseball field too. The pictures really don't show it well, but it was a nice job! Alison came in laughing this morning and said Dad can't be too mad, he showed me how to do it! Click on the pictures to enlarge them and you can see the TP better!

Turn off the water!!!

We had a lot of rain in the area last night. US 127 is closed due to water going over the road. The Sheriff department is making a killing tonight. $150 every time somebody goes thru anyway. People really are stupid - the sheriff is sitting right there and the signs say road closed - just exactly what does that mean???

Several cars have gotten swept off the road today trying to go thru this.

A lot of roads in the area are closed due to high water. It can be quite a challenge getting from our house to FV just a mile away! Unless you want to go by boat.

"Walking " on a wagon

Alex noticed that the wagon had about inch spaces inbetween the boards. He did not like that - he seemed to think he would fall through. So he resorted to crawling instead of walking. What a kid!

New shoes

Ethan and Miguel both got new dinosaur shoes this weekend. Perfect timing since they went to Toledo to see the Walking with Dinosaurs exhibit Saturday night.
The bottom of the shoes look like dinosaur tracks! So cool!
Alex also got new shoes 'Queens" for Lightening McQueen from the Cars movie.
Hannah didn't have new shoes on, but I had to take a picture of her Dora shoes anyway.

Monday night

Miguel taking Alex for a ride. How come the one with all the energy is riding???
Helping Grandpa hoe.
Watching the oil drip out of the tractor.
Got to be spring - the tractor is in the barn.

Easter 2010

Carter is determined to crawl.
Grandpa took Ethan, Miguel, Hannah and Alex for a ride on the gator.
How can somebody so ornery look so sweet????

Beep Beep - Aunt Mindy helps Alex drive the tractor between Uncle Kevin and Uncle Mark.
This foursome is trouble just waiting to happen. I hope the keys aren't in the ignition...
Here is the best picture I got of the 5 grandkids.
Carter did not want his picture taken with this group.
Let me go big brother!!

Recent doings...

Not a whole lot new going on, other than Ethan had his tonsils out last Monday. He had a few rough days with it hurting, but is well on the mend now.
Here Ethan is helping Grandpa plant his radishes next to the house. The raccoon that Hannah is holding is plastic.
Holes dug and time to put the seeds in.
Ethan dribbles the seeds in.
Grandpa has such good helpers! It is going to be interesting to see how the radishes look when they come up this year. Somehow I don't think we are going to have straight lines and they may be a bit thick in spots.
Done planting radishes and off to the barn goes Hannah.
Ethan is into pulling the threads on his socks -then his foot sticks out!

He doesn't look too good in this picture.
Carter is trying to figure out how to move. Here he has his belly on the ground and all 4 wheels in the air.
Happy guy!
And of course if you are taking pictures, there is one little girl always willing to smile and pose..
