Downtown Vegas is a covered area with lots of vendors. One such vendor is this group of 8 guys that do spray paint paintings. Yep, use regular spray paint to make amazing pictures in less than 10 minutes each! Fascinating to watch. And yes, I have tried this at home. It is not nearly as easy as they make it look!

I couldn't resist this year. I bought one of the paintings.

Here is Dan outside of Mermaids. Yes, Miss Hannah, Grandpa got you beads from here. He was forced to pose with the ladies in order to get them. This place used to be Sassy Sally's when we first went out there. "Double, double, double, double, double time".... was a song that played every so often for double jackpots. Rumor has it that a bunch of JC men spent some time there one evening.......

Here is the Fremont Street Experience. It is the covering over the top of Fremont Street downtown. Every so often (hour I think)after dark, there is a light show set to music. It is really something to see

This thing is something like 4 or 5 blocks long!

A shot of the MGM Grand. We went to see the show 'Ka' here on Tuesday night.

The waterfall on the outside of the Wynn Casino and Hotel. Whoever decided to put a casino in the middle of a desert and pipe in water was a genius.

Some inside decorations at Wynn.

Those are balls of flowers hanging from the trees.

The Fountain Show at the Bellagio. People stand all over to watch it. It goes off every half hour I think and it is set to music. This is out on the Strip.

Another shot of the show at the Bellagio.

Had to walk down to Hooters (the former San Remo) and check it out. Dan wanted that orange car to pick us up at the airport.

Here I am with one of the stars of the show "Zumanity" at New York, New York. Great show. One of the Cirque du Soleil shows. These are massive productions. And expensive. I found a way to get tickets for select shows for $55 each this summer.

Then there was Coyote Ugly. Sharelle wanted to go check it out, so in we went. It was early and pretty empty. Got drinks at the bar and then they announced that the women got free shots! Here is Sharelle taking advantage of the offer! The gal pouring the shots kept referring to Sharelle as 'Grandma".

Norbert at the bar in Coyote Ugly. We watched a group play the shot game.

The Statue of Liberty at New York, New York made of jelly beans.

Swim up blackjack tables at the Tropicana.

Here is the group having a laugh with the valet parking guy. It was only a 'little' warm in Vegas. Temps ranged from 102 to 108 while we were there. 'Hot' weather was supposed to set in the day we left - they were expecting it to be 112! But it's a dry heat! More like an oven if you ask me....

Here is the Tropicana where we stayed the first two nights. They were doing some major remodeling inside and out. If you read the sign on the building, it was still missing some letters. They got added on the next day. We were in the front tower - that tall white tower is the back tower for the same hotel.

View out our window of the Excaliber Hotel across Las Vegas Boulevard. This is the home of "Thunder Down Under" - next year Kristie!

View from the window looking back towards Luxor and Mandalay Bay.

They are building a new bridge out at Hoover Dam over the canyon. You can see it from the dam itself. Supposed to help by letting traffic over that bridge rather than over the dam. It is going to be one hhiigghh bridge.

A shot of the desert. Why would anybody have ever said, 'Hey, let's build a home here in the desert."

A shot of Lake Mead. It is the lowest I have ever seen it. They could really use some water out there.

A shot of the new bridge while we were going over the dam itself. A picture doesn't do justice to the size of this stuff.
I have a few more pictures, but they are on my cell phone and I haven't figured out how to transfer them yet. Modern technology does not always make things simple!
